Introductary course for all business students in Pforzheim which gives a general overview concerning “IT in business”. Especially introduces basic concepts and keywords of computer science in business. In detail we discuss fundamentals of information and communication technology, we talk about hardware and operating systems, discover how computer networks work and learn how to build applications (includes several hands-on trainings) We talk about databases and how to build and manipulate them using SQL. Finally we discuss IT-security. The overall objective of the course is to introduce basic concepts and keywords and to get the students to a general understanding using formalized methods to describe solutions.

Office-Test
|
Students of the 2. Term have to furnish in the context of the training meeting
economical informatics a test payment in advance, the condition for the permission
for the examination at the term end is. The test payment in advance consists of a
test at the PC. Every student gets a setting of tasks from the area of the spread-sheet
analysis (MS Excel) and a setting of tasks from the area of the application of data
bases (MS Access) according to the coincidence principle. Both setting of tasks must
successfully be mastered under supervision.
Period: for 30 min.
A repetition of the test is possible.
